Mr. Weinert began his real estate investment career over thirteen years ago in the acquisitions group of Heitman Capital Management. Before joining The Carlton Group nearly three years ago as a senior vice president, where
he successfully worked on the closing of over $1 billion of structured finance transactions, he previously managed the origination and asset management of a $600 million portfolio of construction, bridge, and mezzanine loans with Emigrant Bank in their merchant banking division. Prior thereto, he managed a $300 million portfolio of high- yield private equity and mezzanine debt real estate investments with a Lehman Brothers opportunity fund with $4 billion of AUM. He also worked with JP Morgan and UBS Warburg in their CMBS and derivatives trading divisions. He received a B.B.A in finance from The University of Michigan Ross School of Business and an M.B.A from The Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
