Amos joined Johnson Capital in 1993 and has been involved in the firm’s largest construction, permanent, and structured debt placement assignments. He advises clients seeking debt for acquisition, repositioning, construction, and refinancing of all types of income properties. Prior to joining Johnson Capital, Amos was vice president of Pacific First Bank, the domestic subsidiary of Royal Trust Company, the largest trust company in North America. At Pacific First Bank, Amos managed and restructured a billion dollar non-performing loan portfolio and completed construction and permanent debt transactions. Amos is an active member of numerous trade organizations and a graduate of Pomona College, with a B.A. in economics.
Gregory J. West, Senior Vice President

Greg originates, negotiates, and underwrites permanent debt transactions for Johnson Capital clients. He has been with the company since 1994. Before he joined Johnson Capital, Greg gained solid commercial real estate experience at Northland Financial Company, First Interstate Mortgage, and Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Company, where he represented numerous institutional investors in the placement of construction, permanent, and participating debt transactions. Greg, a native Southern Californian, has a real estate finance degree from California State University, Fullerton.
Gary Braun, Senior Vice President

Gary originates and places construction, acquisition, renovation and permanent loans for all property types and has worked with a wide variety of insurance companies, commercial banks, credit companies and other balance sheet lenders. He has been financing commercial real estate, first as a lender with Westinghouse Credit and ITT Real Estate Services, before entering the mortgage banking industry in 1993. As a resident of Southern California since 1983 Gary gained valuable experience at Churchill Mortgage, Cohen Financial and as the Western U.S. correspondent for Textron Financial. Gary holds a B.A. Degree from Kalamazoo College and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Ryan Chapman, Vice President

Ryan performs financial and real estate analysis on all types of commercial real estate and debt structures and advises clients seeking debt for acquisition, repositioning, construction, and refinancing of all types of income properties. Prior to joining Johnson Capital, Ryan interned as a research associate at PM Realty Advisors. Ryan holds a B.A. in economics from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA with an emphasis in finance and real estate from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.
David Susank, Vice President

Dave originates debt and equity financing for commercial and multi-family real estate. He joined in 1997 as a financial analyst and progressively worked his way up to vice president. Dave holds a B.S. in corporate finance from Arizona State University.
Jeff B. Kearns, Vice President

Jeff originates and underwrites debt and equity transactions for multi-family and commercial property investors nationwide. He has been successful in arranging financing for existing stabilized assets, properties undergoing repositioning, and ground-up development projects.
Jeff originally joined the Johnson Capital team in 1990 and recently returned after serving as regional sales director for a services company owned by a consortium of office REITs, including Equity Office, Hines Interests, and Carr America. Jeff is affiliated with several multi-family and commercial real estate trade organizations and is particularly active in groups supporting nonprofit real estate ownership and affordable housing, including AHMA (Affordable Housing Management Association). He holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of California, Irvine.

Greg originates and structures debt, mezzanine, and equity transactions for Johnson Capital. Prior to joining Johnson Capital, he was a vice president/treasurer at Barrister Executive Suites. His years of real estate experience include serving as a vice president of Commercial Lending at City National Bank and a vice president/manager at First Los Angeles Bank. A University of Southern California graduate, Greg has a B.S. in business administration with a real estate finance emphasis.

Kent Carpenter, Associate Director

Kent's primary focus at Johnson Capital is performing financial and real estate analysis on all types of commercial real estate and debt structures. He comes to Johnson Capital from Preferred Capital Advisors in Sacramento, California, where he served as a producer/real estate analyst. Kent is a graduate of the University of Southern California.

Our in-house closing specialist, Victoria has over 20 years of real estate loan administration experience in all types of commercial income-producing properties. She has been with Johnson Capital since its inception. Prior to joining Johnson Capital in 1989, Victoria worked with San Clemente Savings & Loan and Bankers Mutual, both full-service mortgage banking firms.
