Tom is a seasoned professional, having placed numerous loans with life insurance companies, conduit lenders, and each of the agency lenders including FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He specializes in structuring debt for more complicated transactions including those involving project-based Section 8 HAP contracts, tax exempt bonds, historic tax credits, low-income housing tax credits, and TIF projects. His background prior to entering into mortgage banking was with the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC), where he spent five years specializing in managing assets with tax-exempt bonds. He also served as vice president, commercial lending for a local Kansas-based bank. Tom received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University in Boston, MA, and received his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law.
