Adam has 20 years of multifamily lending experience and has been involved in all facets of apartment lending. His experience ranges from working on large high rises to suburban garden complexes to smaller urban properties. During his career Adam has been responsible for originating over $10 billion in multifamily loans. Before joining Johnson Capital, Adam was the Central Area Director of Multifamily Lending for Washington Mutual Bank (now J.P. Morgan/Chase). At Washington Mutual (WaMu) Adam led a team of lenders in originating apartment loans throughout the Midwest, Florida, Texas and Colorado. Adam’s team annually originated over $1 billion in multifamily loans. Prior to his role at WaMu, Adam had a long career specializing in agency lending. For 5 years he was a Vice President at GMAC Commercial Mortgage (now Capmark), where he specialized in placing loans to agency lenders such as Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and HUD. Earlier in his career, Adam was Regional Manager of Multifamily Lending at Freddie Mac. There he helped manage the Central Region for Freddie Mac’s Multifamily Lending Group. He was responsible for developing Freddie Mac’s Program Plus lending network and for originating and underwriting loans in a 7-state area throughout the upper Midwest. Adam holds an M.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis and a B.A. in History from Lake Forest College. Adam is also a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker.
